## New patent filed by Samsung has potentially leaked what the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 might look like.

Going by the patent the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 might be borrowing some of the best features from the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Flip while fixing some of the issues these flagships have faced. (Pigtou)

Samsung filed a new patent earlier this week that reveals what could be the potential design of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. Pigtou and @xleaks7 were able to come up with some pictures based on the information from the patent. 

Going by the [patent](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2187/5961/files/Patent-Samsung-Galaxy-Fold-2.pdf?v=1592590030) the new Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 [might be borrowing](https://pigtou.com/blogs/android/samsung-galaxy-fold-2-patent) some of the best features from the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Flip while fixing some of the issues these flagships have faced.

The new patent describes a new hinge mechanism that’s very much like the one we have seen on the Galaxy Flip. The area behind the part that fold on the Fold 2 is hollow so, like it is on the Galaxy Flip, the screen on the [Fold 2](https://tech.hindustantimes.com/mobile/news/samsung-galaxy-fold-2-leak-reveals-same-battery-capacity-as-galaxy-fold-71592482484875.html) will fold back into the hinge mechanism when the phone is folded. This mechanism made Flip’s folding mechanism ‘snappier’ than the original Fold. Also, this is similar to what Motorola uses on the new Razr.

There is also a cutout for the front camera on top of the screen and there is also a cutout for what might be the proximity sensor next to it. There is the volume button on the right of the phone and the power on the top with the Type-C port at the bottom. There are speaker grilles on the top and bottom.
