Mi Band 5 price details leak hours before the official launch
Mi Band 5 is expected to come with a slew of improvements over the predecessor. Here’s how much the new fitness tracker could cost.
Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of Mi Band 5 today. Ahead of the official release, key features and specifications of the new fitness tracker have already been revealed. Now, a new leak gives away the pricing of the Mi Band 5.
According to a listing on China’s JD.com, Mi Band 5 will be priced at 189 Yuan, which is ₹2,020 approximately. If the pricing is to be believed, Mi Band 5 will have a similar launch price tag as the predecessor Mi Band 4, which currently sells in India for ₹2,300 approximately. According to reports, Mi Band 5 will start selling in China from June 18. Right now, there’s no word on when the fitness tracker will come to India and other markets.
That said, Mi Band 5 is said to come with a familiar design. Just like Mi Band 4, it will have a home button. The upcoming Mi fitness tracker will be available in black, yellow, red and green colour options.
According to reports, Mi Band 5’s global variant will have NFC connectivity for the first time. The smart fitness tracker will come with Google Pay support as well. It’s also expected to sport a DND feature which can be further personalised.
Other key features expected on Mi Band 5 are heart rate monitor, SpO2 sensor to measure blood oxygen saturation, and a personal activity intelligence feature. The smart fitness tracker will also have a bigger display than the Band 4.
We are likely to find out more about the fitness tracker shortly as Xiaomi’s China event is likely to start at 2:00 pm CST which is 11:30 am IST in India.
