E3 2021 Updates: The time is almost there for the live event to start for one of the most-awaited parts - Nintendo Direct. This is the company's special event where it shows off its biggest announcements in relation to upcoming games and it is expected to last for 40 minutes — today is also the last day of E3 2021 event. It will then be followed by Nintendo Treehouse event, which will feature longer gameplay streams of games announced earlier.

At the moment, it is difficult to predict what Nintendo has in store for gamers this year, as the company has been rather tight-lipped. Of course, players can expect to see new games and software releases for the Nintendo Switch gaming console. Meanwhile there have been several rumours of the (improbable) launch of a new, more powerful Nintendo Switch upgraded model.

According to Kotaku, gamers may also hear news about a new edition of popular carnage game Bayonetta 3, based on a revelation from PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya earlier this year. Over the past few months, several newsreports have claimed that Nintendo is working on a powerful new upgrade for its popular Switch console, that is expected to feature upgraded hardware including a 4K resolution OLED display, support for advanced graphics using Nvidia DLSS (technology found on powerful Nvidia graphics cards) and more. However, Nintendo's own tweet specifies that the Nintendo Direct event will involve software.
