E3 2021 Updates: The time is almost there for the live event to start for one of the most-awaited parts - Nintendo Direct. This is the company's special event where it shows off its biggest announcements in relation to upcoming games and it is expected to last for 40 minutes — today is also the last day of E3 2021 event. It will then be followed by Nintendo Treehouse event, which will feature longer gameplay streams of games announced earlier.

At the moment, it is difficult to predict what Nintendo has in store for gamers this year, as the company has been rather tight-lipped. Of course, players can expect to see new games and software releases for the Nintendo Switch gaming console. Meanwhile there have been several rumours of the (improbable) launch of a new, more powerful Nintendo Switch upgraded model.

Nintendo Direct Live Stream Online

Nintendo Direct is an online event this year, which means gamers from all around the world can tune in and join the action. Nintendo Direct Live Stream Online starts at 12PM ET, which means it will begin at 9:30 PM IST. Users who want to tune in to the event can head over to the company's YouTube page, or the Nintendo Twitch live stream of the event to join on the action. The Treehouse event will continue for a couple of hours after the first 40-minute event ends.

New Nintendo Switch titles

One of the most anticipated titles this year is a possible update for the popular The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 game. According to reports, gamers can also look forward to the possibility of a new Mario Kart title from Nintendo for the company's popular gaming console, while it also seems likely that there will be an announcement related to Doomguy, Rayman, or Crash Bandicoot, during the Nintendo Direct event.

According to Kotaku, gamers may also hear news about a new edition of popular carnage game Bayonetta 3, based on a revelation from PlatinumGames' Hideki Kamiya earlier this year. The report also suggests that players may also see updates to some of Nintendo Switch's most popular titles like the Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Splatoon 3, Mario Golf: Super Rush, and The Legend of Zelds: Skyward Sword HD.

The Nintendo Switch “Pro”

Over the past few months, several newsreports have claimed that Nintendo is working on a powerful new upgrade for its popular Switch console, that is expected to feature upgraded hardware including a 4K resolution OLED display, support for advanced graphics using Nvidia DLSS (technology found on powerful Nvidia graphics cards) and more. However, Nintendo's own tweet specifies that the Nintendo Direct event will involve software.
