Google Stadia players, you can use these Samsung phones to play now; check full list
Google has added 11 new devices from Samsung to its list of officially supported devices for its Google Stadia game streaming service.
When Google announced its cloud-based game streaming service, Google Stadia, the company had said that the service would allow almost all Android device owners to play games using its service seamlessly. While Google Stadia is available on almost all Android devices in an “experimental” capacity, the company is slowly expanding the list of the devices. Now, word is that Google Stadia list of supported devices has been expanded once again.
9To5Google reports that Google has added 11 new devices from Samsung to its list of officially supported devices for its Google Stadia game streaming service. The list includes a mix of Samsung smartphones and tablets. The list of Samsung smartphones that Google Stadia players can stream games from the cloud-based streaming service includes Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21+ and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones. In addition to this, Google Stadia players will also be able to stream games on last year's Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
The updated list of officially supported devices for Google Stadia now also includes Samsung tablets. The list includes Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7+, Samsung Galaxy A, and Samsung Galaxy A7.
It is worth noting that Google Stadia already supports a bunch of Samsung Galaxy smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8+, Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9+, Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10+, Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20+, and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, there no support for Samsung's foldable display smartphones yet.
Interestingly, Google's official list of Stadia-supported devices includes smartphones and tablets from a handful of companies including its own Pixel smartphones, and smartphones from LG, Apple, OnePlus and Asus.
Here's a full list of supported devices: Pixel 2, Pixel 2XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 6, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 5T, OnePlus 6T, OnePlus 7T, OnePlus7T Pro, OnePlus 7T Pro 5G, OnePlus 8T, OnePlus Nord, OnePlus Nord N10 5G, OnePlus Nord N100, Apple iPhones, iPad, Asus ROG Phones, Razer Phone, Razer Phone II, LG V50 ThinQ, LG V50S ThinQ, LG V60 ThinQ, LG G7 ThinQ, LG G8 ThinQ, and the LG Wing.
