Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is coming to India on Jan 18

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is also India's first product with MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset (Oppo)

Oppo on Tuesday announced it would launch Reno 5 Pro 5G in India on January 18. It will also be Oppo's first product launch in 2021. Reno 5 Pro 5G is part of Oppo's new Reno 5 series, which had debuted in China last month.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G is available in China for a starting price of CNY 3,399 ( ₹38,200 approximately). The smartphone is likely to be available in India at a similar price point.

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G specifications

Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G's biggest highlight is going to be the Dimensity 1000+ chipset. The company in its release pointed out the Reno 5 Pro 5G is also going to be the first phone in India with the said MediaTek chipset.

The 5G capable chipset comes with “AINR and HDR that enable low noise and high dynamic range for extreme low-light photography and videos. The chipset comes with a 7nm process, that offers industry-leading performance and extremely low power consumption.”

The chipset will be bundled up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB built-in storage. The phone has a 4,350mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It has a 6.4-inch full HD+ OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate.

The phone comes with a quad-camera setup featuring a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The smartphone also has a 32-megapixel front camera for selfies.
