Earlier this week we reported that Poco is gearing up for a new smartphone launch in India. Poco India GM C Manmohan had said the phone will be released in the next 20-25 days. Now, a new report gives more clarity on what the next Poco phone in India could be.

In an interview with Amit Bhawani, Manmohan said that the phone will be a new device exclusive for Indian customers. He also clarified that the next phone will not be Poco F2 Pro, a premium smartphone Poco launched for European markets last month.

While Manmohan didn't clarify which phone it will be, reports suggest it could be the long-rumoured Poco M2 Pro. Expected to launch with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor, Poco M2 Pro is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.

Ahead of the official launch, Poco M2 Pro has made numerous appearances on the web. According to recent leaks, Poco M2 Pro will run on MIUI 11 and support Bluetooth 5.0.

If launched, it would be another mid-ranger from Poco brand after the Poco X2.

Apart from a smartphone, Poco is also gearing up for the launch of Poco Pop Buds truly wireless earbuds. The company, however, hasn't yet confirmed the launch date for the product as yet. Interestingly enough, Poco has been running a “Poco for India” campaign on social media before the launch.
