September is shaping up to be an exciting month. Industry-leading companies such as Apple and Samsung have something to launch. Moreover, Google, which has been out of the flagship smartphone segment for a couple of years is now set to launch its Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro with flagship specifications. We are expecting some exciting new reveals in the month of September, including the iPhone 13 series, the Pixel 6 lineup as well as a watered-down Galaxy S21 in the form of Galaxy S21 FE. Here are the top three smartphones that we are looking forward to launching in the month of September.

Apple iPhone 13

The Apple iPhone 13 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting slab phones of recent times. While the smartphone will not feature a design overhaul, it is expected to finally catch up with its Android counterparts and feature a 120Hz high refresh rate. Plus, we could finally see a smaller notch on the iPhone 13 lineup. The next iPhones could sport a better camera system that will have support for video portrait mode to blur the background in videos.

Talking about physical changes, we could see bigger camera modules on the iPhone 13 Pro series and a change in dual camera alignment on the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini. For reference, Apple is rumoured to launch four iPhones this year as well. It could announce the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. The company is tipped to unveil the iPhone 13 series on September 14. It could go up for pre-orders on September 17.

Google Pixel 6

I'm personally very excited about the launch of the Google Pixel 6 series. Google is re-entering the flagship smartphone arena after a hiatus that lasted more than a year. The company has already showcased its upcoming offering. The Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will feature an all-new design with a bulging camera module at the back and a dual-tone finish.

As for specifications, the smartphones will be powered by Google's own Tensor chip, which consists of additional AI processing. It is rumoured to help the Pixel 6 series with better image processing. Can you imagine - Google offering new image sensors on the upcoming phones and better image processing? I can't wait to see what the offering brings to the table. The Google Pixel 6 series is touted to launch just a day before the rumoured iPhone 13 launch. It could be announced on September 13.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The Galaxy S21 FE has been in the rumour mill for a while now. There have been contradicting reports of the smartphone getting cancelled due to supply shortage. However, recent leaks have revealed that the Galaxy S21 FE is very much real and about to be launched soon. The smartphone will sit below the vanilla Galaxy S21 in the S21 series without compromising on many of the specifications.

The Galaxy S21 FE is rumoured to feature a 6.4-inch display, a triple rear camera with an improved 32MP camera, fast charging and an in-display fingerprint scanner. We don't have any price details yet but it is expected to be priced lower than last year's Galaxy S20 FE. The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE is tipped to be launching on September 8.
