Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 goes on sale  (Xiaomi)

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 9 will go on sale in India today. The smartphone will be available online via Amazon India and Mi.com starting 12 PM. You can also purchase the phone through Mi Homes and Mi Studios. 

Redmi Note 9 will be available for a starting price of ₹11,999. The top-end model with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at ₹14,999. There is also a 4GB and 128GB variant, which is priced at ₹13,999.

Vivo is also going to put its latest smartphone series, X50, on sale in India later today. The series features Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro, which will be available via the Vivo India E-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm Mall, Tata Cliq and other major e-commerce platforms. You can also buy the phones offline through Reliance, Croma and Vijay Sales. Vivo X50 series will be available for a starting price of ₹34,990.

The Vivo X50 Pro 8GB + 256GB is available for ₹49,990. The Vivo X50 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space will be available for ₹37,990. Redmi Note 9 overview

Redmi Note 9 features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with 450 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The quad-rear camera setup includes a 48-megapixel primary sensor (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1, f/1.79 aperture), 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor (118-degree field of view), 2-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth camera (autofocus). It also has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera.

Redmi Note 9 runs on Helio G85 octa-core processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. Redmi Note 9 is powered by a 5,020mAh battery with a 22.5W fast charger.

Vivo X50, X50 Pro overview

The Vivo X50 Pro features a 6.56-inch sAMOLED display. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. On the software front, it has Android 10-based Funtouch OS 10.5. The phone comes with 48-megapixel, 13-megapixel, 8-megapixel, and 8-megapixel quad rear cameras. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. It runs on a 4,315mAh battery with support for FlashCharge 2.0.

The Vivo X50 has a smaller 5.56-inch AMOLED display. It runs on Snapdragon 730. The camera setup in the X50 is similar to that of the X50 Pro smartphone. The X50 offers a smaller 4,200mAh battery.
