Airtel discontinues its ₹2,398 prepaid plan: Here are alternatives you can consider
The ₹2,398 plan came with a validity of 365 days, 1.5GB daily high-speed data and unlimited voice calls. Airtel has a slightly more expensive plan that you can opt for, but there is also Reliance Jio and Vodafone for you to consider as well.
Airtel has stopped its long-term ₹2,398 prepaid plan and it is no longer listed on the website. The ₹2,398 plan came with a validity of 365 days, 1.5GB daily high-speed data and unlimited voice calls.
The slightly more expensive, ₹2,498 prepaid plan is still active for Airtel and this comes with the same 365-day validity, unlimited voice calls as well. However, it offers 2GB of daily high-speed data. If you have been a user of the ₹2,398 plan you might want to consider the ₹2,498 plan now - it is essentially the same plan with a bumped up data option.
However, if you want to shift to another service provider entirely, here are some alternatives to the ₹2,398 plan -
Reliance Jio has two long-term plans on offer for its prepaid customers. There is the ₹2,599 plan that comes with 365-day validity, 740GB of high-speed data (2GB daily and 10GB free), unlimited voice calls for Jio to Jio, Jio to non-Jio calls have a FUP limit of 12,000 minutes. With this you also get an annual subscription to Disney+Hotstar.
Jio has another prepaid plan which is cheaper - ₹2,399. This plan comes with the same 365-day validity, 720GB of high-speed data (2GB daily), unlimited Jio to Jio calls and Jio to non-Jio calls limited to a FUP of 12,000 minutes.
Vodafone has one long-term plan for ₹2,399 for prepaid users. This comes with unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calling, 365-day validity and 1.5GB of daily high-speed data. Those who buy this plan also get Vodafone PLAY subscription worth ₹499 as well as ZEE5 subscription worth ₹999 with this.
