Amazon partners Airtel to launch the first Prime Video mobile-only plan
Amazon is bundling Prime Video Mobile Edition with Airtel prepaid plans starting at ₹89.
Amazon has launched its first mobile-only plan for Prime Video. Called the “Prime Video Mobile Edition” this subscription plan is launching first in India, and at a starting price of ₹89. Amazon has also partnered with Airtel to offer its new mobile-only plan.
Amazon is bundling Prime Video Mobile Edition with Airtel prepaid plans starting at ₹89. It is also offering a 30-day free trial of Prime Video on all bundled Airtel prepaid packs. Following the free trial, Airtel users can opt for the Prime Video Mobile Edition recharge plans which go live at 2 pm today.
The base plan priced at ₹89 offers 28 days of validity, SD streaming and 6GB of data. The second Prime Video Mobile Edition plan is priced at ₹299 and this includes 28 days of validity along with unlimited calls and 1.5GB data per day.
Amazon and Airtel have also introduced two prepaid plans with access to all Amazon Prime services. This includes multi-user access, cross-platform streaming in HD/UHD, Prime Music and Prime delivery on Amazon.in. The base pack costs ₹131 with a 30-day Prime membership. The ₹349 pack comes with a 28-day validity of Prime membership along with unlimited calling and 2GB data per day.
Amazon already offers 1 year of free Prime membership with Airtel's postpaid plans. But it will be the first time that Amazon's Prime services are being offered at the most affordable rates. Amazon Prime is currently available at ₹129 per month, and ₹999 per year.
