Apple Watch to land at retail in 7 more countries

Seven territories will be included in Apple's plans to expand the wrist-bound wearable's global reach on June 26.

South Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, Spain, Italy, and Switzerland make up the grouping, where the Apple Watch will be made available through Apple's online and retail stores as well as a small number of authorized resellers.

The tech company's senior vice president of operations, Jeff Williams, indicated that the 42mm Space Black Stainless Steel model wouldn't be included in expansion plans for now.

That's the $1,099 version of the standard Apple Watch model, whose entry level equivalent is priced at $549. The Watch Sport starts at $349 while the Watch Edition tops out at $17,000.

Excluding the 42mm Space Black, 'all orders placed through May ... will ship to customers within two weeks,' he said. 'At that time, we'll also begin selling some models in our Apple Retail Stores.'
