Reliance Jio prepaid recharge plan: has announced the launch of JioPhone Next and it will be rolling out soon enough. It has also launched a number of plans recently, Now, the company has announced a new facility for its prepaid users. The service called the Reliance Jio Emergency Data Loan facility enables Jio subscribers to get emergency data loans when they are unable to purchase a data top-up plan and pay for their recharges later.

To put it simply, Jio users can get the data that they need immediately and pay for it later at a time of their choice. As a part of this facility, Reliance Jio will enable its prepaid users to borrow up to five emergency data loan packs of 1GB each. Each of these data plans cost ₹11. This totals to a total of 5GB of data at a total price of ₹55 that Jio users can borrow at a time.

Reliance Jio notes that users need to have an active plan to opt for this data plan. The company also says that the validity of these loan plans will depend on the validity of the data plan that users have subscribed to.

How to avail Reliance Jio Emergency Data Loan facility

Step 1: Open MyJio App and go to ‘menu' on top left of the page.

Step 2: Select ‘Emergency Data Loan' under mobile services.

Step 3: Click ‘Proceed' on the emergency data loan banner.

Step 4: Select ‘Get emergency data' option.

Step 5: Click ‘Activate now' to get the emergency loan benefit.

Step 6: Emergency data loan benefit is activated.
