Bank Holidays July 2022: Banks will remain closed for 8 days in the month of July 2022. However, it can be noted that online or internet banking will remain operative 24x7. Also, along with second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays, the bank holidays in the month of July will increase to 15 days. It can be noted that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) informs about the bank holidays on its official website. The banks remain closed every month on certain days due to some state-specific or national occasions. Banking activities like depositing money, updating passbook, transferring amount and much more requires you to visit your nearest bank branch. Therefore, making it important for you to know about the days when the bank will remain shut. As per the information provided by the RBI, the bank holidays in June fall under three categories- Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks' Closing of Accounts. Bank Holidays in July 2022

1. July 1, 2022: Banks will remain closed only in Bhubaneswar and Imphal due to the occasion of Kang (Rathajatra)/Ratha Yatra.

2. July 7, 2022: Banking operations will remain shut only in Agartala due to Kharchi Puja.

3. July 9, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on July 9 due to the occasion of ld-Ul-Ad'ha (Bakrid).

4. July 11, 2022: Due to the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, banking operations will remain shut on July 11 in Jammu and Srinagar.

5. July 13, 2022: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok on the eve of Bhanu Jayanti.

6. July 14, 2022: Banks only in Shillong will remain shut on July 14 on the occasion of Beh Dienkhlam.

7. July 16, 2022: On the occasion of Harela, banking operations will remain halted in Dehradun.

8. July 26, 2022: Banks in Agartala will remain shut on July 26 due to Ker Puja.
