One of the most prominent and widely used messaging applications, WhatsApp is releasing the first update for the Universal Windows Platform app, through the official beta channel on the Microsoft store. WABetaInfo informed about the same over its Twitter handle by tweeting, "WhatsApp beta UWP 2.2145.3.0: what's new? WhatsApp is asking for feedback to improve the new beta app for Windows!" It further informed that WhatsApp has just submitted the first update of the Universal Windows Platform app on the Microsoft Store.

"WhatsApp is finally releasing the first update for the Universal Windows Platform app, through the official beta channel on the Microsoft Store, bringing the version up to 2.2145.3.0," it said. Also, after updating to the new 2.2145.3.0 version, users will be able to notice a new welcome message in the WhatsApp main screen saying "We'd like to know your thoughts about this app. Please provide feedback by using the button located at bottom left."

As per the information provided by WABetaInfo, the update also brings general stability improvements but WhatsApp needs feedback to fix other issues like those glitches while scrolling conversations for certain users.

If you have not installed WhatsApp beta yet and would like to test it, you can do it now. Here is a direct link to download the app from the Microsoft Store- https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/whatsapp-beta-wbi/9nbdxk71nk08?activetab=pivot:overviewtab.

According to WABetaInfo, after installing the app, you need to link your WhatsApp account from “Linked Devices” using a QR Code: chats will start to be in sync and you will be able to use and test the beta app.

WABetaInfo has also informed that WhatsApp has released two new beta updates for Android and iOS this week: the 2.21.24.11 update for Android and the 2.21.240.14 build for iOS. Unfortunately, both updates introduce some critical bugs.

"About WhatsApp beta for iOS, after uploading a new status update or sending messages in group chats, WhatsApp instantly crashes. On WhatsApp beta for Android, WhatsApp keeps constantly crashing on Android 12 for some users when using the 2.21.24.11 update, so they cannot use WhatsApp at the moment," it said.

In order to use WhatsApp again a fast solution is available for iOS beta testers, preserving the chat history: they can downgrade to a previous beta version by using TestFlight > Select WhatsApp Messenger (or WhatsApp Business) > Previous builds > Install a previous beta build.

Android users will have to manually uninstall the current beta version and install the old one from APKMirror, but a backup is required to restore your chat history.
