Form
The Kodak Zi8 weighs 115 g and has a 2.5-inch screen. There's a four-way joystick in the centre, which also works as a record and zoom button.

The Zi8 supports a whopping 32 GB but you won't get a memory card in the package. The Zi8 also comes with a USB connector, a microphone jack and an HDMI out.

Video
It features no optical zoom and comes with an unwanted 10x of digital zoom. The Zi8 is currently the only camcorder that can capture full high-definition video at 1080p.

The Zi8 is also capable of recording video at 720p at 60 fps (best for sports) and at 30 fps (for family videos) and WVGA. It also features an Electronic Image Stabilizer and can also take still images with its 5 MP CMOS censor.

Verdict
At ₹9,999 (MOP), the Kodak Zi8 is an excellent little camcorder. It is capable of recording at 1080p and comes with loads of software to edit video and upload to social networking sites. A memory expansion slot that supports 32 GB is another plus point. http://tech2.in.com/go/107922.
