Google aims for wireless charging self-driving cars

Google isn’t just trying to eliminate the driver, but the charger too, with its autonomous cars. According to a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing, Alphabet is working on a wireless charging solution for its self-driving electric cars .

Google isn't just trying to eliminate the driver, but the charger too, with its autonomous cars. According to a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing, Alphabet is working on a wireless charging solution for its self-driving electric cars reports Androidheadlines.

Some commercially available electric cars already support this feature but the setup, as you may imagine, can be quite elaborate. According to the report, Hevo Power and Momentum Dynamics have already shipped equipment to Alphabet for this project.

However, the current solutions available can be slow and inefficient. We'll have to wait and see how Google implements and improves upon the technology.
