Internet giant Google rolled out "send + drop the mic" feature for its users that will let them have the last word in a tense and unwanted conversation.

However, according to Next Web, this feature is nothing but a prank from Google on April fool's day.

"Well, it looks like we pranked ourselves this year. Due to a bug, the Mic Drop feature inadvertently caused more headaches than laughs. We're truly sorry. The feature has been turned off. If you are still seeing it, please reload your Gmail page.," the company said on its official blog.

When you drop the mic, your email will also include an explanatory image -- just to help set expectations.
