WhatsApp is arguably one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. Its ever-evolving feature set is one of the reasons that makes this app so popular among people from all age groups. Continuing with this trend, this week we got to know about a bunch of features that WhatsApp is working on.

These features not only bring call improvements to existing features, such as the call button shortcut, but they also bring new features, such as wallpaper dimming feature, to WhatsApp's platform.

Catalogue shortcut

WhatsApp is working on adding a quick shortcut in business chats wherein the business has set a catalogue. When enabled, the Catalogue Shortcut will be added next to the new Call button.

New call button

WhatsApp is also working on a new call button. This feature is being developed for business chats and it will combine the voice and video call shortcuts. When tapped, users will be allowed to pick between a voice call and a video call.

New sticker pack

In case you frequent sharing stickers in your chats, WhatsApp has released a new animated sticker pack called Usagyuuun in its app. This feature is available in both, the company's Android and iOS-based apps.

Wallpaper dimming feature

Lastly, the Facebook-owned messaging app is working on a feature that would allow users to select the opacity of their WhatsApp wallpapers. The feature called wallpaper dimming feature is still in development.
