The Honor 5C is a smartphone that sports a metal build, runs the latest version of Android and boasts of powerful specifications at a humble price. Available at 10,999 in India, the Android smartphone goes against the likes of Lenovo K4 Note, Le 2 and the Redmi Note 3.

However, the Honor 5c has an advantage — it's the only phone with a screen smaller than 5.5-inches in the segment. While most would prefer a larger screen, others would choose convenience over screen size and in terms of single-handed user, the Honor 5C takes the prize. Also, to get your hands on the Honor 5C, you'll need to first register with Flipkart for the sale on June 30 t get a change at buying it on a flash sale.

It gets its design from the 5X but in a smaller package that gives it he rounded edges and light weight making it a pleasure to hold. The 5.2 inch 1080p display stays legible even in sunlight and reproduces a good amount of sharpness and colour. To run the Android Marshmallow, Honor 5C uses Huawei's own Kirin 650 1.7 GHz octa-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. This combinations makes it a powerful-enough device for day-to-day usages, but not for heavy duty tasks like gaming.

The 13 MP rear camera on the Honor 5C is quick at capturing moments. Just double press the volume down button and the camera is launch and take a photograph. A feature that's simple, practical and rare. On the front, there is a 8 MP camera that does a fair job during video calls. However, the camera don't really hit the mark. While the screen is sharp, the pictures taken by the camera can be disappointing. But at the price, it's something you make peace with.

Despite pocket-frindly price and size, the Honor 5C also sports a 3,000 mAh battery that will keep you fuelled through the day. The non-removable back also has a fingerprint scanner which is quick and accurate. You can expand the storage on the Honor 5C with a microSD card or use the dual 4G SIM functionality.

Overall, the latest budget smartphone from Honor, the 5C is a great deal at the price and the only option if you want a phone that's easy to handle. The performance while not mind-blowing is enough for daily use. The camera mages to take shareable pictures and the battery lasts all day long. So, at 10,999, the Honor 5C is a decent and practical choice for the budget buyer, but for someone looking for perfections and finesse, look elsewhere or save up some more cash.
