How to link Your Pan with Aadhaar card online to find out if already linked - check direct links

How to link PAN to Aadhaar

You can visit the new e-filing portal of the income tax department. The portal will show a 'Link Aadhaar' section on the list of services. On clicking that link, the taxpayer will be redirected to a page that will require the user's details like name, PAN card number, Aadhaar number. After inputting the accurate required information, the details would be validated and the documents will be linked. In a step by step manner:

Step 1: Visit income tax e-filing website (incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.) to link PAN with Aadhaar

Step 2: On the left side of the site you will get the option to Link Aadhar, click on it

Step 3: Now fill in the details on the new page

Step 4: Enter your PAN number and Aadhaar number from the options

Step 5: Enter captcha code after filling in all details

Step 6: Click on the 'Link Aadhar'

Step 7: Once you click it your PAN will be linked to Aadhaar

Step 8: Now, you will be able to see this information on your screen as well

Link PAN to Aadhaar through SMS

Taxpayers can easily link the two by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161. In order to link the PAN with the Aadhaar number, the taxpayer needs to send an SMS by typing UIDPAN<space><12 digit Aadhaar><space><10 digit PAN>. For example: UIDPAN 0000011112222 AAAPA7777Q.

After sending the SMS to the above-mentioned numbers, the Aadhaar number will be linked to the PAN number if your name and date of birth are the same as that mentioned in both of the documents.
