In Delhi? Uber will send you free puppies today

In what can be called a strange but adorable marketing gimmick Uber Delhi is tying up with DogSpot.in to send out puppies to its users in Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

Uber has tied up with DogSpot.in to send out puppies.

Uber wants to help you bust your mid-week blues - with puppies. The cab-hailing app is tying up with DogSpot.in to send out puppies to its users in Delhi on Wednesday afternoon between 1 and 4 PM.

Uber has put up a blog detailing how this will work:

1. Open your Uber app between 1 pm and 4 pm on July 8, Wednesday
2. Request for 'uberPUPPIES' by sliding to the extreme right
3. Once the PUPPIES arrive, you and your friends can enjoy 15 minutes of cuddle time.
4. Demand will be high and availability will be limited. Please be patient and keep trying on your Uber app

If you end up loving one of the puppies, you can adopt them. Uber says adoption forms will be available with volunteers accompanying the pups.

Fifteen minutes of cuddling with the little fur balls will cost you ₹10.

This is not the first time Uber is conducting a puppy adoption drive in India. In January, it deployed PuppyMobiles in Pune as well.

Uber has mentioned that demand will be high. When we tried to get some Uber puppies for ourselves we got a message saying all the puppies are on a play date.

Uber has been suffering from some negative press all over the world of late. Think this will help them earn some goodwill?
