Reliance Jio began registrations for its Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) broadband service, Jio GigaFiber on August 15. Following this, state-run BSNL has been revising its broadband plans with higher speeds and more data for users.

BSNL has now increased its offerings on four of its (FTTH) plans effective from September 1. The changes are for plans priced from 3,999 up to 16,999, as reported by Telecom Talk.

BSNL has increased the speed of its 3,999 plan from 50 Mbps to 60 Mbps and data from 500GB to 750GB. The Fair Usage Policy (FUP) speed remains the same at 4 Mbps.

In its 5,999 plan, broadband speed has been bumped from 60 Mbps to 70 Mbps with an increase in data from 1TB to 1.25TB. BSNL has also increased the FUP speed from 4 Mbps to 6 Mbps.

A bigger increase comes to its 9,999 plan where the data limit has reached 2.25TB from the previous 2TB. Broadband speed also sees a jump from 80 Mbps to 100 Mbps. FUP speed on this plan is now 8 Mbps as opposed to the previous 6 Mbps.

Lastly, users who are on the 16,999 plan will get more data at 3.5TB and an increased FUP speed of 10 Mbps. This plan offered 3TB of data and FUP speed of 8 Mbps. Download speed remains the same here at 100 Mbps.
