While Telugu films have been stealing the show this year with films like RRR, Sita Ramam and Yashoda, Kollywood has also been releasing some really refreshing films which offer engaging stories, captivating characters and stunning cinematography. And one such critically acclaimed film will soon be making its way to the streaming apps. Love Today was one of the bigger hits of the year and has become a crowd favorite. And just a month into its theatrical release, the film has also secured an OTT deal and will soon be available to watch online. That's right, Love Today OTT release is here and you need to know when and where you can watch this online on your app.

Love Today is the second directorial venture of Pradeep Ranganathan. He is also the writer and the protagonist of the film. Fulfilling a single role in a movie and making it shine is difficult enough but in this movie, Ranganathan has worn multiple hats and made it look easy. The film has also found both critical and commercial success. With a budget of just Rs. 5 crore, the film has grossed Rs. 70 crore from its theatrical run.

The romantic comedy revolves around a 24-year-old software engineer and his girlfriend who decide to take their relationship to the next level by getting married. However, when the guy goes to the girl's father, he puts up a strange condition to give his blessings for the marriage. The two lovers must exchange their smartphones for one day. The film is all about the chaos and drama that ensues afterwards.

The popularity of the film can be assessed from its YouTube trailer, posted by Sony Music South. The trailer has received 9.6 million views, 401,000 likes and 7,476 comments which continues to rise even at the moment of writing this.

The film stars Ranganathan, Ivana, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu, Sathyaraj, Raadhika Sarathkumar and others.

The OTT rights to the film have been bought by Netflix. The Netflix India South Twitter made a post announcing the online release of Love Today. It said, “Disclaimer: Exchanging phones with your partner might be injurious to your relationship. Love Today is coming to Netflix on the 2nd of December”.
