Messenger Rooms on Instagram
On Instagram, you can find the Messenger Rooms shortcut in Direct Messages. Here, tap on the video icon on top which lets you make video calls on Instagram. You'll see a new option to “Create a Room”. Tap on that and select the people you want to add to your Messenger Room. You'll see the list of people you follow on Instagram that you can add.
Once you're done sending the Messenger Room link you can head onto the video call. You will be redirected to the Messenger Room to start your video call. Note that this shortcut will only work if you have the Messenger app downloaded on your phone.
Facebook will integrate Messenger Rooms to WhatsApp as well. The shortcut is already available on WhatsApp's beta versions of Android and iOS. It will arrive on the stable version of WhatsApp soon.
