Mortal Kombat XL loaded with all skin packs and downloadable characters
Netherealm Studios have announced Mortal Kombat XL, touted it as the “ultimate Mortal Kombat X experience” for the PS4 and Xbox One only, sorry PC gamers. It includes the main game, along with all downloadable content (DLCs) that have been released for the game since its launch, such as skin packs and new characters from the upcoming Kombat Pack 2, scheduled for a release in March.
Netherealm Studios have announced Mortal Kombat XL, touted it as the "ultimate Mortal Kombat X experience" for the PS4 and Xbox One only, as the PC version has not been confirmed. The Mortal Kombat XL edition includes the main game, along with all downloadable content (DLCs) that have been released for the game since its launch, such as skin packs and new characters from the upcoming Kombat Pack 2, scheduled for a release in March.
The second wave of downloadable characters will consist of Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Xenomorph from Alien, Bo'Rai Cho from the classic MK days, and Triborg ( traits of a robotic Smoke, Cyrax, and Sektor). It'll also include characters from the first Kombat pack such as Jason Voorhees, Predator, Tanya, and Tremor.
Mortal Kombat X was one of the top ten selling games of the year 2015 reportedly selling more than 5 million copies, while Steam spy reports it has been downloaded via Steam by more than 500,000 gamers. Hence, its rather bizarre of Netherealm to not announce the PC version of Mortal Kombat XL. Its also worth pointing out that publisher Warner Bros had to pull the PC version of its Batman: Arkham Knight title last year, as it was hit by significant performance issues when it launched.
As of now, there's no word on how Mortal Komabt XL will be priced when it arrives, though we'll keep updating you with more information as soon the bundle arrives.
