Moto Z2 Force modular phone with ShatterShield display launched: Price, specifications

Moto Z2 Force features the company’s ‘shattershield display’ for protection against drops and falls.

Motorola on Thursday launched a new smartphone in India from its Moto Z series. Moto Z2 Force flaunting a shattershield glass display comes bundled with Moto TurboPower Mod. The smartphone along with the Moto Mod is priced at 34,999.

Moto Z2 Force will be available for purchase starting tonight at 11:59PM exclusively via Flipkart. You can also purchase and experience the device at Moto Hubs across India. The smartphone is available in 'Super Black' colour.

As the name suggests, the highlight of Moto Z2 Force is its 'shattershield display' design. The smartphone is built with 7,000 series aluminium made of a single block of aircraft grade AI. Motorola also four years of guarantee on the smartphone's shatterproof display against drops and falls.

Moto Z2 Force specifications

Moto Z2 Force features a 5.5-inch Quad HD Shattershield display. At the heart of the smartphone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

For photography, Moto Z2 Force sports a dual-camera setup at the rear which is a pair of 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensors. Up front, it houses a 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture for selfies.

On the software front, Moto Z2 Force runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. It is fueled by a 2,730mAh battery which totals up to 6,220mAh along with the Moto Mod. The smartphone also comes with a TurboPower charger which is claimed to offer 8 hours of juice on 15-minutes of charging.

Moto Z2 Force features

Moto Z2 Force features 'Moto Display 2.0' which offers 'Smart Replies' and 'Quick Actions' on the lockscreen itself. There's Moto Voice which can initiate commands for Google Assistant. Moto Voice can also be used to launch apps by giving voice commands. For example - "Show me Twitter". Lastly, there's Moto Actions which turns the Home button into a 'one button navigation'.

Moto TurboPower Mod

Moto TurboPower Mod provides 3,490mAh of additional power. It charges the phone using up to 15W of power on the go. There's also a quick charge feature which gives the phone up to 50% of power in 20 minutes of charge at 30W speeds. Separately, the Moto TurboPower Mod retails at 5,999.
