New WhatsApp feature coming! Here is how you can benefit from it

A new WhatsApp feature is likely to be introduced soon that will benefit users, reveals WABetaInfo.

WhatsApp is working on new features to provide users/customers something that they can really benefit from. In the works is the WhatsApp business directory, which will allow users to filter nearby businesses using a new interface. The WhatsApp business directory is a new way to allow users to find new business accounts on WhatsApp with ease without having to leave the app.

As per the details shared by WABetaInfo, instant messaging app WhatsApp has released this feature for a trial in Sao Paulo, Brazil for now. The same feature is likely to be rolled out in other countries in the near future.

WhatsApp new business directory will enable users to filter nearby businesses based on their choices 

Once the new feature is rolled out, users will be able to see a new section called WhatsApp Businesses Nearby in the search bar within the app. Users can select the category and the results of business accounts will be filtered based on their choice.

Presumably, this WhatsApp feature will be rolled out for both android as well as iOS. The app has not stated anything regarding the same and also there is no official information about the release date either.

Earlier, WhatsApp has introduced a new feature where users can order groceries and other daily essentials through Jiomart. Users can use this feature by clicking on the 'tap and chat' tab on WhatsApp and add products like fruits and vegetables to cereal, toothpaste and cooking staples like paneer and chickpea flour in their card and order.

Users can order groceries through WhatsApp without any delivery cost and also, there is no minimum order value. Users can pay for the items either via JioMart or in cash on delivery.

Meanwhile, the app is also working on a new interface to enable users to join WhatsApp voice calls. The new interface will make it more compact and modern, organizing the available space especially while placing group voice calls.

As of now the feature is available for iOS, the app is planning the same redesign for a future update of WhatsApp beta for Android as well. Apart from these, WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.1.7. The new version will have features like message deletion in groups if you're a group admin.
