Now you can book a vaccine slot using Airtel Thanks app

Airtel also announced that businesses of all sizes can set up a free Covid helpline for their employees with Airtel IQ.

The second wave of the pandemic has wreaked havoc in the country. Amid these circumstances, companies are lending a helping hand to their users by enabling them to access various resources to tackle Covid-19. The latest company to extend this support is Airtel.

Airtel today announced a bunch of resources for its users in the country. The company today said that it has added two new subsections in the Explore section of its Airtel Thanks app. The first subsection is called ‘Covid SoS'. This section aggregates verified and updated contacts for important supplies such as medicines, oxygen, plasma donors, ambulances, hospital beds and testing centres among others. This feature is powered by the company's cloud-based communication suite, Airtel IQ and the information provided in this section, as per the company, is painstakingly verified by its teams.

The second subsection is called ‘Cowin'. It enables Airtel users to find a slot at a vaccination centre and book for themselves and their friends and family. Airtel says that it has integrated the government's Cowin platform APIs with the Airtel Thanks app to get the information on a real-time basis.

In addition to this, the company has also rolled out Covid-19 resources for its business users. The company today announced that businesses of all sizes can set up a free Covid helpline for their employees with Airtel IQ. The company is giving 5,000 minutes with each helpline account so that businesses can stay connected with their employees and organise their efforts.
