Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma was on a Zoom call that lasted a very long time. He shared the bare fact on Twitter, but did not say with whom or provide the reason why.

Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma took to Twitter today after a marathon meeting. Among the things that we learnt about him was that he uses Zoom for video conferencing. But more importantly, the Paytm CEO spent a long time on the Zoom call - a very long time. Sharma revealed that he was on the Zoom call for as long as '7 hours 45 minutes'. He tweeted, "Just finished my probably, the longest Zoom call. 7 hours 45 mins." Another thing we learnt from this was that Sharma was so impressed by his stamina that he had to share the news with his fans on Twitter. Oh yes, and one more thing, the meeting may have been long and fruitful, but one thing is sure, he kept his tweet quite short. However, that was very much in character as most of his tweets are quite brief and to the point.

Nevertheless, it certainly grabbed the interest of netizens. While some praised his work ethic, others predicted that the Paytm IPO was in the making and therefore, the Paytm CEO was working long hours, and others said he should get his own app for virtual calls. Still others recalled their days when they used to spend that much time talking to their love interest.

Sharma's tweet racked up over 70 Retweets and more than 3,500 likes. Whatever the outcome of the longest Zoom call by Paytm CEO, his tweet definitely was fruitful and achieved its purpose.

Meanwhile, Paytm was in the news today over its plans to deploy FASTag-based parking services across the country after having launched first such project with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.

Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) on Monday said it has enabled the country's first FASTag-based metro parking facility in partnership with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

As an acquiring bank for the parking facility at the Kashmere Gate metro station, PPBL will facilitate the processing of all FASTag-based transactions for cars having a valid FASTag sticker which eliminates the need for stopping to pay cash at the counter.

Additionally, Paytm Payments Bank has enabled a UPI-based payment solution for two-wheelers entering the parking site.

Paytm Payments Bank became the first bank in the country to achieve the milestone of issuing one crore FASTags in June. According to NPCI, over 3.47 crore FASTags were issued by all banks together till the end of June 2021.
