Qualcomm announces its first-ever eSports tournament in India

The tournament kicks off with Snapdragon Conquest: Free fire Open 2020, with a prize pool of 50,00,000. There is no entry or registration fee for participating in the tournament.

Qualcomm Technologies today announced the launch of its first-ever mobile e-sports program in India. Qualcomm's program is called Snapdragon Conquest marks the foray of Qualcomm into the world of esports.

The tournament kicks off with Snapdragon Conquest: Free fire Open 2020, with a prize pool of 50,00,000. There is no entry or registration fee for participating in the tournament. The official game title for this season is Garena 'Free Fire', which is a skill-based battle royale game where four-player teams battle against each other strategically utilizing in-game resources to win.

Snapdragon Conquest is expected to encompass multiple events throughout the year, which would enable competitive gaming across multiple game titles and is designed to engage mobile gamers across all segments and levels of proficiency.

Qualcomm says for serious gaming enthusiasts, Snapdragon Elite Gaming platform would deliver premium, mobile-first features and enhancements including advanced customisations, ultra-realistic graphics, and lightning connectivity and performance speeds to help gamers harness the power of desktop-level gaming to transform the mobile phone into a premium gaming machine.

Snapdragon Elite Gaming platform features seamless connectivity with its advanced modem and Wi-Fi technology provides low latency for online multiplayer gaming.

Smartphones that support the Snapdragon Elite Gaming platform are Nubia RedMagic 5G, BlackShark 3 Pro, Asus ROG Phone 3, Lenovo Legion Phone Duel, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, OnePlus 8 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, LG V60 ThinQ 5G Dual Screen, Oppo Find X2 Pro, Sony Xperia 1 ii and Samsung Galaxy S20 5G.
