Reliance JioPhone 2 goes out of stock, next flash sale on August 30
Reliance JioPhone 2 went on its first flash sale at 12PM on Jio.com on Thursday. As expected, the phone went out of stock in less than 40 minutes. Reliance Jio hasn't disclosed how many units it had put up for sale. The second flash sale will be held on August 30 at 12PM on Jio.com
Reliance JioPhone 2 is the second generation smart feature from the company. Priced at ₹2,999, the phone comes with a new design featuring QWERTY keyboard and four-way navigation pad. The original JioPhone is priced at ₹1,500 (refundable security deposit for three years) and comes with traditional feature phone design with T9 keypad.

Reliance JioPhone 2 sports a 6.09cm (2.4 inch) TFT display with QVGA (320x 240 pixels) resolution. While the screen size has remained the same, it now supports landscape mode which is considered more suitable for multimedia experience.
The smart feature phone runs on KaiOS, the same operating system that powers the original JioPhone. For performance, JioPhone 2 relies on a 1GHz dual-core processor (chipset unspecified) along with 512MB of RAM. The phone comes with 4GB ROM along with a microSD card slot that supports expandable storage up to 128GB.
JioPhone 2 comes with a rear 2-megapixel camera and a VGA camera for selfies. The camera also supports video recording. Connectivity options on the phone are dual SIM, 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 with BLE, GPS, and NFC. The smart feature phone is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
Reliance JioPhone 2: Data plans
Reliance Jio is bundling three data plans with its JioPhones. The cheapest data plan is priced at ₹49 under which it offers 1GB of data with 28 days of validity. The plan also includes unlimited data, subscription to Jio applications, and free video calls. Other two plans are priced at ₹99 and ₹153. The two plans offer 14GB of data and 42GB of data respectively. Both the plans come with 28 days of validity.
