Samsung Galaxy M40 key specifications revealed ahead of launch
Samsung Galaxy M40 will be an upgraded version of Galaxy M30 with improvements in the battery and storage department. Here’s everything we know about the phone so far.
Samsung is on a launch spree with over six new models launched under its new Galaxy M series and a revamped Galaxy A series. Galaxy M in particular has gained a lot of attention with its new design and competitive set of specifications. Its phones such as Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 have received mostly positive reviews. Now, Samsung is planning to launch a new Galaxy M40 smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy M40 will be the first smartphone in the series to offer Android Pie out-of-the-box, according to a Sammobile report. The phone will also offer bigger 5,000mAh battery and 128GB built-in storage, the report added. Galaxy M40 is set to come with an AMOLED display and in-house Exynos processor, speculated to be either 7904 or 9610.
It's not the first time Samsung Galaxy M40 has made an appearance ahead of an official release. Earlier this month, the smartphone was spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance. The listing confirmed the codename SM-M405F/DS and Android Pie OS.
Galaxy M40 will join Samsung's current M-series which consists of Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30. As the name implies, Samsung Galaxy M40 will be the most premium Galaxy M phone so far and could cost more than Galaxy M30.
Priced at ₹14,990, Samsung Galaxy M30 features a triple-rear camera setup including 13-megapixel, 5-megapixel and 5-megapixel ultra-wide sensors. It has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies with features like live focus and blur control. The smartphone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery along with a 15W Type-C charger.
