Snapchat replaces 'Best Friends' list with emojis

Social network Snapchat has launched a series of Friend Emojis defining your relationships with the people you're in contact with.

Social network Snapchat has launched a series of Friend Emojis defining your relationships with the people you're in contact with.

A previous 'Best Friends' feature that was scrapped last year identified the people you connected with most in your contact list, for all to see. The new Friends Emojis can be seen only by the user.

According to TechCrunch, the six different emojis are found alongside the people you connect with the most, starting with a gold heart for your best friend and including a smile for someone who is one of your best friends and a smirk when the relationship isn't mutual.
