Sony ZV-1 specifications and features
Sony's new compact camera weighs 294 grams and is also Sony's first compact camera with a flip-out, tiltable LCD screen. It has a MI (Multi Interface) Shoe as well to attach external microphones without using a mounting bracket. While recording a video in the HD (Active mode), the camera uses both optical and electronic stabilization methods to deliver up to 11 times more stable video. However, while shooting a 4K video using Optical SteadyShot (Active mode), the stabilisation is said to improve 8 times, as per Sony.
The Sony ZV-1 has a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS image sensor with DRAM chip and 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T large-aperture lens. Besides subject tracking and fast autofocus, it also includes the latest-generation BIONZ X image processor with front-end LSI, both of which work in tandem to deliver images with low noise. Adding to this is the easy switching between two modes of background bokeh while recording a video.
As for the audio, the compact camera has Sony's latest Directional 3-capsule Mic, made specially for selfie mode. It is possible to use the standard 3.5mm mic jack and MI Shoe.
