Spotify songs for your Tinder date: Music mode to spice up dating
Spotify songs in Tinder: New Music mode to amp up the matching experience.
How can you improve the dating experience online? Tinder thinks it is by adding Spotify music to your profile. After announcing the Anthem feature a few years ago, Tinder has joined hands with Spotify once again to amp up the dating experience online. With the new Music Mode, it will essentially let you convey your favourite music to your potential date.
“Now with Music Mode, our members can experience that feeling when you're at a party and you find out someone else loves the same songs you do,” said Kyle Miller, the vice president of product innovation at Tinder. “Songs are deeply personal, and Music Mode is a place to spark something new through music,” he added.

The idea with this feature is to play a lopped 30 second snipper of your favourite song to your potential matches. Tinder says that this is likely to spark conversations and increase chances of a match. The new feature will be found on Tinder's interactive “Explore” page. You will get the option to either listen to the music or keep it silent.
Of course, this feature will require signing in with your Spotify account on Tinder. If you already have a Spotify Anthem enabled on your Tinder profile, you won't need to do the same.
The Spotify integration with Tinder grows stronger with this move but it remains to be seen whether there are any real benefits to this addition. Tinder currently says that the Anthem feature alone has seen an increase in matches by 10 percent compared to profiles with no anthem.
Tinder also offers the Swipe Night, Hot Takes and Passions feature under its Explore tab, wherein it offers varied dating experiences. Swipe Night is the latest one here wherein it allows for people to interact over a mystery video series.
