Stranger Things dethroned from the No. 1 spot on Netflix! Umbrella Academy is the new favorite
The Umbrella Academy has topped Netflix’s top 10 TV series globally, leaving Stranger Things behind.
Netflix top ranker Stranger Things isn't number one anymore. Yes! The show has been toppled by The Umbrella Academy after four weeks of reigning on top of the Netflix TV charts. Stranger Things' fourth season was released a month ago on May 27, and grabbed the top spot in Netflix Top 10 TV shows list in no time and had been dominating the list for a month. But now it seems like The Umbrella Academy 3rd season is the new favorite of binge watchers. The show is another big Netflix original series, which returned with its third season on June 22, and toppled Stranger Things 4 in Netflix's TV series rankings within a week.
According to the latest data of Netflix's in-house analytics team, The Umbrella Academy season 3 has grabbed a total of 124.53 million hours viewed from June 20 to June 26 toppling the Netflix's Top 10 TV show English language list. It pushed Stranger Things 4 to second spot.
Stranger Things' has accumulated 76.9 million hours viewed last week. But don't worry, it's still reigning over other TV shows, like The Lincoln Lawyer and Peaky Blinders season 6. However, it seems like The Umbrella Academy may not continue to dominate the Netflix charts for long as the Stranger Things season 4 volume 2 will be arriving on Friday, July 1. Though volume 2 only has only two final episodes, it's sure to be another major hit among Netflix subscribers.
Volume 1 was immensely popular and hence season 4 volume 2 is also expected to pull Stranger Things back to its number one spot on Netflix's TV charts.
Meanwhile, a number of enticing new Netflix TV hits like Lana Condor, starring Boo, Bitch, its live-action take on Capcom's iconic Resident Evil video game series and The Sandman, are on the way
