Tata Sky+ HD set top box price reduced to ₹4,999

Tata Sky has reduced the price of its Tata Sky+ HD set top box price to ₹4,999. Earlier the setup box was available for ₹9,300 in India. Now, the company is giving a discount of ₹4,301 on the purchase of the device.

The change comes shortly after Tata Sky dropped the price of the Tata Sky+ HD box for existing subscribers from Rs7,890 to ₹5,999.

Apart from offering a discount on the purchase of its HD set top box, the company is also offering a discount on the purchase of the Tata Sky HD+ connectivity. This set enables users to download three shows simultaneously and it was previously available for ₹8,900, Dream DTH reported. Now, the company is offering a discount of ₹4,401, bringin the effective price down to ₹4,499.

Additionally, the company has reduced the price of its Tata Sky+ HD+ box. This set top box offers Dolby Digital Surround Sound along with the ability to record up to three shows. Earlier, it was available for ₹5,999. But now it is available at a discount of ₹1,500, which brings the effective price to ₹4,499.

As per a separate report by Gadgets 360, the direct-to-home service provider has also brought a redesigned home screen for its HD and SD set top box users. As a part of the update, users will now see trending content under the top movies and live sports categories of the home page.
