Telegram has recently crossed the 700 million mark in terms of the monthly active users and is rolling out a premium service that offers a host of additional features. The service adds a range of additional and improved features. Telegram, in a blogpost, revealed, “Today we're launching Telegram Premium – a subscription that lets you support Telegram's continued development and gives you access to exclusive additional features”. The service was first announced by Telegram founder Pavel Durov via a post on his private Telegram channel.

Telegram Premium has been launched on the latest version 8.8 of the app on Apple App Store. Telegram Premium subscribers will unlock many new features including fast downloads, a larger file sharing limit, up to 4 accounts in one app, and much more. Telegram Premium rolling out: know features and pricing

Telegram Premium subscribers will get access to premium features like many doubled limits, 4GB file uploads, faster downloads, exclusive stickers and reactions, improved chat management and other things. Paid subscribers will also be allowed to follow up to 1,000 channels and create up to 20 chat folders with as many as 200 chats in each.

Not only premium subscribers but non-premium users will also be able to enjoy some of these features offered by Telegram Premium. The features that will also be available to non-premium subscribers include the ability to download extra-large documents and view stickers sent by premium users. Additionally, non-premium users will also get the ability to tap to increase counters on premium reactions.

As far as pricing is concerned, Telegram has not revealed the pricing of Telegram premium in its blogpost. However, TechCrunch reported that the service could cost between $5 (Rs. 390 approximately) and $6 (Rs. 468 approximately).
