Two new WhatsApp featurees are coming to you and they are set to transform the way you interact with your friends, family or collegues. These new WhatsApp features will change the look of the app as well as the group messaging experience. As reported earlier, Meta-owned WhatsApp has been working on a Communities feature for a long time. In a recent report by WABetaInfo, it revealed that WhatsApp is planning to release a new feature that will enable admins to create a wider Community. The report shared how it will work when WhatsApp Communities will be released. It mentioned that the WhatsApp Community will be like a private place where group admins will have more control. The shared screenshot suggests that the admin will be able to link several groups into a Community to bring them together on the same chat window. This will be a handy tool especially for the group admins which will help them to manage WhatsApp groups in a better way as well as for the individual users in these groups as they will get a wider audience to interact with. Surely, a win-win situation for all.

WhatsApp Community feature

WhatsApp Community will make it possible to reach everyone at once by sending messages to all the members of these groups, which are connected through the Community feature. Moreover, previous reports have said that joining a community's group does not mean that members will be able to send messages to all the other members of the community's other groups. In fact, when a user leaves a community group, they will no longer be able to see related groups in the community. However, there is no official news regarding the timing of the rollout of WhatsApp Communities to Android and iOS users.

WhatsApp to get Cover Photo

In addition to the Community Feature, WhatsApp is also working on another feature called Cover Photo, which will allow you to set a photo for your Profile same as Twitter and Facebook. The WhatsApp update tracker Wabetainfo confirmed that this WhatsApp cover photo feature is under development and that it will be rolled out in future updates, but probably it will be restricted to WhatsApp Business accounts only. The standard users of WhatsApp may have to wait for a longer period for the cover photo feature. The report confirmed that the feature will be available for Android as well as iOS users.

How will a Cover Photo change the look of your WhatsApp profile?

So, with future updates, WhatsApp will soon introduce a camera button in the Business Settings, where you will be able to select a photo from the gallery or can take the new one instantly with the camera. Once you set your Cover Photo, then your contacts will be able to see your cover photo when they visit your profile, including standard WhatsApp user accounts.
