Twitter has been working on a paid subscription service called “Twitter Blue”. Details of this service were spotted on the app's iOS App Store listing. Twitter Blue will come with perks such as the ability to undo tweets, customise the app with colour themes, and more. It looks like Twitter is getting close to launching the subscription service as it has now been spotted on the Google Play Store.

The latest beta version of Twitter on the Google Play Store mentions in-app purchases of $2.99 per item, according to a report by Android Police. This is the same price tag that was spotted for Twitter Blue recently. Other details of the subscription service haven't been mentioned in the Play Store listing but it more or less confirms the test of Twitter Blue. Twitter Blue is said to be offered with different subscription plans. Users who purchase higher paid plans will have access to more features. The base Twitter Blue plan could cost $2.99 per month.

As for the perks of Twitter Blue, it includes undoing tweets, a ‘Reader Mode', colour themes and collections. The undo tweet option will let users quickly un-send a tweet for a brief period of time after it is posted. An undo button will appear when the tweet is sent for a short period of time. Twitter Blue will also let users categorise their favourite tweets into different collections. There's also a ‘Reader Mode' that will turn long tweet threads into a more readable format.

Another feature that Twitter is testing for its paid subscription service is colour themes. Twitter Blue subscribers will have access to colour themes and custom app icons. Users will be able to choose different colours like yellow, red and purple as the Twitter theme. They can also change the app icon to pink, purple, green, orange and more colours.

Twitter is yet to announce the launch of Twitter Blue but it's expected to take place soon. Twitter Blue will be the latest paid offering from Twitter after ‘Super Follow' that will let users pay for exclusive content, and ‘Tip Jar' that lets users earn through tips from their followers.
