Twitter down for many users, says it’s over capacity

Twitter is currently down for users globally with users not being able to post tweets.

Micro-blogging site Twitter is currently down for many users globally and in India. Though Twitter opens on desktop and on mobile app, tweets, however, are not being sent as of now.

According to a report by Down Detector, Twitter has been facing issues for the past 15 minutes. The report states that the issue is mostly affecting the desktop version followed by its Android app.

Many users who have tried tweeting are receiving a message which says that Twitter is currently over capacity. Some users are receiving a message saying that something is wrong and asks them to try again later.

Twitter has around 336 monthly active users globally. In India, Twitter has a user base of around 23.2 million monthly active users. Twitter hasn't issued any statement as of yet regarding the global outage.
