Twitter goes back to the '90s with a new nostalgia emoji
- You can use the hashtags #BackToThe90s and #90sNostalgia
The '90s were special. From pop culture and cassettes, to movies that we can't get on streaming sites anymore, sports stars we miss - the list is long and there is a lot to look back on. And all this time over the lockdown has given people on Twitter a chance to look back at it all with fondness, reminiscing the simpler times.
Twitter saw a whole bunch of throwback tweets celebrating love for that decade with several popular elements.

Hero to so many of us...wonderful 90s. pic.twitter.com/ctRdIFXFif
To celebrate these conversations and add a dash of '90s colour to them, Twitter has launched an all-new emoji. This new emoji can be activated by using three hashtags - #BackToThe90s, #90sLove, #90sNostalgia.
Twitter is also planning an elaborate '90s nostalgia party. Next week, you will get iconic Indian rapper Baba Sehgal (@OnlyBabaSehgal) going live on Twitter with some of his best sing-along '90s songs.
Cricket enthusiasts will get their share too as ace cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle (@bhogleharsha) will join in the '90s nostalgia to talk about some of the most memorable moments from the world of cricket.
And there is more. On Saturday, May 16, Netflix (@NetflixIndia) will join Twitter in this throwback and host an Andaz Apna Apna watch party for fans of the classic film.
Bollywood stars have also been making the most of this with Kajol tweeting about her favourite movies and tagging other stars in it.
