Your dad might now be very up and about on social media, but we are pretty sure he uses WhatsApp. And with Father's Day almost here, we have some suggestions for you about how you can use WhatsApp to make dad feel special on Sunday (Father's Day is on Sunday, in case you did not remember!).

Voice and Video Message

If you are quarantining away from your father, and even if you aren't, you can record a nice message to thank him for all the times he's had your back and been the perfect parent. You can also send him a song he loves.

How to do it -

Open your chat with your dad. Locate the ‘mic' icon, on the top right corner of your WhatsApp keypad. Keep it pressed to record your voice message and release to send.

Similarly to record a video message, tap on the ‘camera' icon at the bottom right corner of your screen, and long press the icon to start recording.

Status

You can also curate a personalised Father's Day post and share the love on your WhatsApp status.

How to do it -

Open the Status section and tap on ‘Add to my status'. This will open the camera view.

If you want to take a picture, tap on the shutter button. To capture a video, tap and hold on the shutter button.

To upload a photo or video from your gallery, tap on the ‘Gallery' button from the bottom-right.

Tap on the ‘Send' button to add it to your Status

Personalised Stickers

You can also use stickers on WhatsApp to show your father some love. You can also create a personalised sticker pack for the occasion.

There are apps on Android and iOS where you can use a picture from your gallery and make a sticker of your own.
