Vodafone Idea (VI) expands 148, 149 prepaid and postpaid plans: Here’s what you get

For those going for the 148 prepaid plan, VI is giving 18 days validity along with benefits like free unlimited calling and 1GB data limit for each day.

Vodafone Idea or VI is making its 148 prepaid and 149 postpaid plans for lucrative for users in Gujarat and Delhi. While these plans were already there before, the amount of data, calls and more have been expanded. 

For those going for the 148 prepaid plan, VI is giving 18 days validity along with benefits like free unlimited calling and 1GB data limit for each day. You will also be able to send a maximum of 100 SMS in a day. All this comes in addition to VI Movies and TV access, as mentioned by several reports. As for the 149 postpaid plan, users can get it for 28 days. In this, they get 3GB of data, 300 SMS daily limit and access to VI Movies and TV.

So, in case you want more data, 148 prepaid plan could be the best as it gives you a total of 18GB data while the 149 plan gives you just 3GB data. However, the daily SMS limit is more in latter and the validity is also for more days.

VI was recently claimed as the fastest mobile network in India as far as the 4G speeds in the third quarter of 2020 are concerned.

As per a report by Ookla, Vi offered a download speed of 13.74Mbps and an upload speed of 6.19Mbps to its subscribers in India, which was the highest in the third quarter of the year. It was followed by Bharti Airtel on the second spot and Reliance Jio on the third spot. While Airtel offered download and upload speeds of 13.58Mbps and 4.15Mbps respectively, Jio offered download and upload speeds of 9.71Mbps and 3.41Mbps respectively.
