WhatsApp is officially working on the ability to migrate your chat history from WhatsApp for Android to iOS, for a future update!," WABetaInfo tweeted.

It can be noted that WhatsApp users were already able to migrate their chat history from iPhone to Samsung Devices, Pixel phones and other Android deviices. While according to a report by WABetaInfo, Android 12 devices will be supported to receive the chat history from iOS at a later date.

"In the WhatsApp beta for Android update, we have already spotted the ability to move your chat history from Android to iOS, available in a future update, but there was no news on iOS. Today, the new WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.2.74 offers more important details: the ability to import your chat history from Android!," the report added.

In order to import the chat history, WhatsApp will ask for your permission before starting the process.

Other than this, it was earlier also informed that WhatsApp is allowing users to pause and resume voice recordings. Yes, the messaging platform is now rolling out a useful feature for the WhatsApp web and desktop client that is the ability to pause and resume voice recordings.

WABetaInfo tweeted, "WhatsApp Desktop beta lets you pause and resume voice recordings! The ability to pause and resume voice notes during recording is now available for the desktop client."

"When WhatsApp has released the possibility to join the official beta program of WhatsApp Desktop, WhatsApp has also rolled out the feature to listen to voice notes before sending them. Today, WhatsApp is rolling out an improvement of the feature, letting you pause and resuming voice recordings!," WABetaInfo further said in a report.

Sharing a screenshot of the update, it showed a pause button which can now be used to pause the recording and also to listen to it before finally sending it to your contact. According to WABetaInfo, this feature is already available on WhatsApp for iOS, however, there is no availability of the same on WhatsApp beta for Android yet.

Also, it is possible that you do not see this feature even after installing the latest update. The reason behind the same is that the feature has been rolled out to certain beta testers and it may need some time to get enabled on your WhatsApp account.
