The long wait for WhatsApp emoji reactions will be over very soon! WhatsApp will roll out some exciting new emoji reactions for users to reply to messages. Besides emoji reactions, WhatsApp also announced other new features that would be rolled out for users in a blog post This includes WhatsApp communities, Admin access to delete problematic messages, bigger file sharing, and up to 32 participants on a single audio call. However, the thing that has got people really excited are the upcoming WhatsApp emoji reactions. WhatsApp has announced the emoji reactions will be coming in your chat windows and these can be used to reply to any message.

Expansion of WhatsApp Emoji reactions

In the latest update, WhatsApp update tracker WaBetaInfo report says that when the new version of the WhatsApp message reactions was rolled out just for beta users, they were able to select more emojis by simply tapping on the plus button. A small video clip shared by the WabetaInfo suggested that the update will give you the option to choose emojis from the emoji keyboard.

"This feature is under development, so it will be rolled out to users after the release of the first version of message reactions, which is limited to 6 emojis: Like, Love, Laugh, Surprised, Sad, and Thanks. In the meantime, WhatsApp is working on improving the final version of message reactions, in order to ensure the best bug-free experience for its users," the report mentioned.

Besides this, WhatsApp is also working to keep the disappearing messages option in case users want to keep the chat even after its expiration. WaBetaInfo shared a screenshot of the upcoming feature indicating that when you keep a message it won't disappear from the chat even after its expiration. Though, it will also provide the option to 'un-keep' it, in case you don't agree to keep the message in the chat after expiration. This simply means, if a message is kept with the updated option, then it will be converted into a normal message. Whereas, if you 'un-keep' the message, then it will be removed immediately for everyone from the chat.

When these updates will be rolled out to WhatsApp users is still unknown.
