WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. In the past couple of weeks, WhatsApp has added a bunch of new features to its platform. New storage option and new animated sticker pack among others. This week, reports detailed new features that will be available in the messaging app in the coming days.
Here are all the WhatsApp features that you need to look out for:
Disappearing messages: Last week, WhatsApp announced the launch of its disappearing messages feature. If you are a beta user, chances are that you already have this feature. As far as the functionality of this feature is concerned, this feature enables users to send messages that disappear after seven days.
Shopping button: WhatsApp has also rolled out a new shopping button in its Business app. This button enables users to browse through a business' product catalogue and message them directly about a product that they wish to purchase. Here are the details.
Advanced wallpapers: WhatsApp, as per a report by WABetaInfo, is also working on a new feature called advanced wallpapers. This feature will enable users to set different wallpapers for individual chats. However, this feature is available only in the beta version of the company's Android app. There is no word on when the company will roll it out in the main app.
Read later: WhatsApp is also working on a feature called read later, which will replace archived chats in a future update. This feature will ensure that users don't receive notifications from the archived chats.
New emojis: WhatsApp is also planning to add new emojis to its platform. These new emojis are available in the app's beta version and include characters such as green olives, Black cat, lungs, heart, boomerang, bell pepper and sea lion among others.
