WhatsApp, despite the recent turn of events, remains one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. It is constantly adding new features to its platform. This week we got to know more such features that will be coming to WhatsApp in the coming days.

So, here's what happened in WhatsApp in the past week:

Sticker Shortcut: WhatsApp, as per a report by WABetaInfo, is working on a feature called Sticker Shortcut. It will appear in the chat bar. WhatsApp will show a different icon when users put an emoji or a specific word in the chat bar. On expanding the keyboard, the messaging app will show all the stickers. This feature is still in the development phase.

More security on WhatsApp Web/Desktop: WhatsApp has added an additional layer of security for its desktop and web apps. Android users can use either their face or fingerprint unlock to authenticate WhatsApp Web or desktop. iPhone users will have to verify their accounts using Face ID. This security verification will pop up when users link their WhatsApp account to a new PC or scanning QR code from the phone.

Delhi HC on WhatsApp: The Delhi High Court, hearing a petition seeking direction for an injunction against WhatsApp's updated privacy policy, said that it is not mandatory to download WhatsApp. Here's what else the court said.
