WhatsApp is arguably one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. It constantly updates its platform by adding new features to it. In the past couple of weeks, reports have detailed features such as Read Later feature and multi-device support that will be available in the messaging app in the coming days. Now, a new report talks about a new feature that is likely to arrive in WhatsApp soon.

As per a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a feature called Sticker Shortcut. This feature will appear in the chat bar. When rolled out, WhatsApp will show a different icon (with different colours) when users put an emoji or a specific word in the chat bar. On expanding the keyboard, WhatsApp will show all the stickers.

The blog site says that this feature is in development for the company’s Android app and it will be sometime before beta users are able to get their hands on this feature.

Apart from working on Sticker Shortcut, WhatsApp has released a new animated sticker pack in its Android and iOS-based apps. It’s also available on WhatsApp Web. This new sticker pack is called Sumikkogurashi and it weighs just 2.4MB. WhatsApp users all over the world can download it on their phones by hitting the download button in the WhatsApp sticker store.
