Windows 10 Mobile rollout now delayed until February: Report
A new report citing an email shared among Microsoft’s partners claims Windows 10 Mobile rollout has been pushed back until February.
Microsoft has yet again delayed the rollout of Windows 10 Mobile which is now expected to arrive sometime in February, according to a report by Venture Beat. The report also adds that the monthly service update for Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL has also been delayed. News of the delay was spotted in an email shared with Microsoft's partners.
Hence, its safe to assume that Microsoft is still giving the OS some much needed final touches. This isn't the first time Microsoft has delayed the Windows 10 Mobile rollout. Earlier, the company had announced that the update would arrive on old Lumia devices in December, before delaying it until 'early 2016'.
Last week, the Windows 10 Mobile upgrade arrived on the Lumia 640 and Lumia 535 in select regions which led many to believe that a global rollout was near. However, now it seems that Windows fans will have to wait till February. The Redmond giant also launched an internal beta for the Windows 10 Mobile Upgrade Advisor app, a tool designed to find out whether your device is eligible to get the latest Windows 10 Mobile.
